At the Apple Blossom Inn B&B, you are the only guest. You are renting an entire house, for the price of a room elsewhere. You may use one or both bedrooms. With windows framed by white ruffled curtains, the Blue Bedroom, on the second floor of the house, has a pecan-wood bed with a queen-size mattress, topped with a soft, patchwork quilt. On the antique pine washstand-dresser you will find a basket of sundries, just in case you forgot to bring your toothpaste! The full-size closet contains luggage racks for your suitcases and fluffy robes for relaxing. Also in the closet are extra pillows, blankets, and a fire-safety ladder. Bedside-tables, complete with lamps and a clock-radio, are found in the Blue Bedroom. To complete the old-fashioned ambiance of the room, a lovely “Grandmother’s Fan” quilt hangs on the wall and a braided rug is placed on the original, wide pine floorboards.
The Green Bedroom features a double (full-size), antique Eastlake Oak bed, as well as an Eastlake rocker. Hand-quilted pillows rest atop the ribbon-embroidered coverlet. Lace curtains frame this romantic room, complete with lyre dresser, mirror, bedside table and globe lamp. Inside the closet are luggage racks and fluffy robes. Quilting by the owner’s mother is displayed on the wall. |
