About Your Hosts
The Wilsons began the Apple Blossom Inn B&B in 2005 and owe much of their knowledge of inn keeping to the gracious Scottish and English innkeepers who have served as their hosts.
Charles, creator of the breakfast fruit plates, is a physical therapist. His other interests include travelling, singing, golfing, and gardening. Betty Karol, founder of the New Market Walking Tours, is a professional choral conductor and currently is the Artistic Director of the Masterworks Chorus of the Shenandoah Valley. You may hear her addressed as Dr. Wilson. Her Ph.D., from Boston University, is in musicology. Her interests include travel, gardening, flower arranging and reading novels.
Both of the Wilsons are native Virginians whose ancestors immigrated from Germany to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in the 1750’s . The Wilsons have lived in Virginia, Texas, and Massachusetts. They enjoy meeting the wonderful guests who have stayed at the Apple Blossom Inn. Guests have come from as far away as the Canary Islands, Taiwan, Ireland, Israel, Belgium, England, and Scotland. Most of the guests are from Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida and other east-coast states. The longest guest visit was 30 days. The most frequent guest has visited four times in one year. We will be happy to welcome you to the Apple Blossom Inn! |
